Manning... Peyton Manning...

Where will he end up? Will he even play? I have heard Miami, Washington, Arizona and a few other teams thrown in the rumor mill. In theory he could end up back in Indy but it is highly unlikely. As a Cards fan I wonder how much help Peyton would provide. I think Manning could bring any squad of wideouts sucess. Imagine Larry Fitzgerald and Peyton working together. Imagine Peyton and Brandon Marshall. It should be an interesting off season.

Super Bowl

It was as an interesting game that came down to the last play. The Patriots seemed to go flat at a certain point. A friend of mine seems to be big on talking about how the Giants defensive line played so well. However, they only had two sacks. The Giants lucked out my recovering two fumbles, while the Patriots threw one interception. The Giants defensive line is good but in no way did they dominate that game. A bone of contention between me and my friend is how injured was Rob Gronkowski. He said he looked  fine and was not that injured. I saw a man who was having difficulty cutting and making the moves he usually makes. A team source has recently stated that Gronkowski received surgery to repair multiple torn ligaments and would undergo a ten week recovery process. He was also wearing a huge boot with tons on tape on both his actual foot and his boot during the game.  Gronkowski had two catches for twenty six yards. That is minimal. We are talking about arguably the most dominate tight end in football. A man who averaged almost eight catches a game during the playoffs. The Giants squeaked out a win with some amazing catches by their receivers, some good play by Manning, and a solid defensive effort. However, I will always wonder what would have happened had Gronkowski been healthy. Chase Blackburn beat Gronkowski on a "jump ball". Chase Blackburn.  The Super Bowl capped off a strange post lockout year, with a strange Superbowl, with a strange final two minutes, with two strange teams.
